ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sue Johns
My work is an interpretive, emotional response to the settings around me whether it is landscapes, still life settings, gardens, or streetscapes and the elements found there.
I am excited about the various aspects of painting with shapes, values, balance, colour and find the challenge of painting a very rewarding study.
A graduate of Sheridan College School of Design (1975), I continued my studies with the Beal Art Program, Adult Painting Studio, London and over the years I have attended several workshops with reputable artists throughout Ontario.
Currently I paint in my London and Muskoka studios as well as having painted on location with a group of painters in Muskoka, Killarney Park, Bruce Peninsula, Parry Sound, Manitoulin Island, Charlevoix, Quebec; the Maritimes, NFLD, England, The Netherlands and Italy.
